Fluid Space
Fluid Space is a sales center interior located in the Yaohai District of Hefei, China, covering 2376 square meters. The layout avoids fixed partitions and uses soft, continuous curves inspired by the form of the Fei River. Smooth lines shape a rhythm of high and low volumes, while a winding spiral staircase reads as a long ribbon and links the levels. Stone, glass, solid wood with bright paint, leather and fine metal are combined throughout. The design aims to create an orderly and artistic space that invites interaction between people and the interior.
Fluid Space Sales Center by Kris Lin was recognized as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Fluid Space Sales Center was awarded the Platinum A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
